How to Cook and Serve Corn on the Cob

Summer may be drawing to a close, but don’t throw in the towel yet. Labor Day is still on the September horizon and sweet corn is still plentiful. All you need to be sure of is a sure-fire way to cook your corn on the cob to perfection!

There is nothing better than augmenting your burgers or a big, fat, juicy steak on the grill with corn on the cob slathered in butter. The good news is that corn on the cob is easy to grill too!

Simply leave your corn cobs in their husks and char them completely, leaving the tender, perfectly steamed kernels safely inside. If you would prefer to clean your corn before you cook it, husk it first, clean all the silk off, butter and flavor it and then wrap it in foil before you toss it on the grill.

Of course, you can also always boil your corn to perfection by placing your corn cobs in a large pot filled with boiling water for about 4 minutes.

The even better news is that Houseware Warehouse has everything you need to cook and serve corn on or off the cob…from large pots to boil your corn, to corn butter spreaders, corn holders, corn strippers – which are a great tool if you love fresh corn salad, corn creamers, corn dishes for serving your corn and even a cast iron corn pan that holds up to seven cobs of corn!
