Ever cooked on a griddle? With its expansive flat surface, it’s so easy and clean-up is a snap too! Plus, if you’re a breakfast lover, you’re in luck because griddles are one of the best ways to make breakfast!
You can go traditional old school with eggs any way you like, all your favorite breakfast meats beautifully browning and even your toast made right on the griddle. Or think light and fluffy silver dollar pancakes stacked sky high, buttermilk pancakes oozing with fresh berry sauce and since we’re talking pancakes, how about banana-walnut, blueberry or chocolate chip?
Oh, and then there are waffles. Griddle them up and top them with chocolate ice cream, whipped cream and a cherry or make a maple griddle breakfast sandwich with waffles as bookends and each crammed with its own sausage patty, a fried egg and, of course, thick maple syrup! Sourdough makes great griddle breakfast sandwiches too. Overflowing with a Canadian bacon, egg and cheese scramble is a favorite at our house.
While we’re at it, why not address the lunch crowd? Lunch is a breeze when you love grilled cheese. You can griddle up burgers bursting with flavor and cheesesteak filling or use a grill press on your griddle for beautiful Paninis made up of melted mozzarella, tomato and sweet basil.
Then move on to dinner and sizzle up steaks, pizza and ribs or skewers loaded with colorful, fresh veggies, tiny red potatoes or shrimp. You can make virtually anything you could whip up in a frying pan on a griddle. Let your taste buds be your guide!
