One of the most popular vacation destinations boasting 23 miles of sugary sand beaches, unsurpassed weather forecasts and exhilarating nightlife, Daytona is a place where fun never ends. “The World’s Most Famous Beach,” serving up a ton of incredible events every year is also aptly named “The Festival Capital of Florida.”
Speaking of annual Daytona area festivals, you can kick things off in April with an Irish jig at the Celtic Festival right next door in Ormond Beach…a place where revelers can enjoy Irish dancers, the melodious sound of bagpipes, Celtic games and numerous vendors offering traditional Celtic food, apparel and all sorts of other Celtic trinkets.
Then, in May, you won’t want to miss Daytona’s Fiesta Italiana with delicious foods indigenous to Italy …or the three-day Daytona Blues Festival, which promises to be a toe-tapping event loaded with musical talent from across the globe and all sorts of cool vendors too!
November is the month for the Daytona Beach Greek Festival, which is simply seeped in Greek culture and tradition; as well as the Halifax Art Festival, the second oldest continual art festival in Florida. Providing family fun for over 50 years, Halifax Art Festival is located riverside so that visitors can peruse art presented in a wide array of mediums as they stroll along the river under shady palms in front of riverfront shops. This amazing annual Daytona event will include student art competitions, activities for children, live entertainment and festive foods as well.
Hopefully we can eradicate this pandemic and get all of our annual Daytona Beach festivities back in full swing. Until then, just be sure to check on Daytona’s traditionally held annual events to make sure they are still on schedule before you head out for some fun.
